Andrew Gordon worked at the IRS during law school and planned to stay. When the IRS came back with the job offer, he turned it down.
In 2014 an Ethereum developer walked in with a question almost no tax professional could answer: how do I report this? Andrew figured it out. That one engagement became a practice that has now prepared more than 1,500 crypto tax reports through several market cycles, and it is why the firm has never treated crypto as a trend.
Gordon Tax, LLC was formed in January 2024 as the accounting side of that work: tax preparation, bookkeeping, and crypto reporting for people who want the return done by a team that also knows what the IRS looks for. It is led by Andrew, a tax attorney and CPA, from Skokie, Illinois.
